Yesterday 5th the camp site put on a 'Cocktail Party' you had to pay and book, but if you didn't want Cocktails you were still very welcome. We took our own chairs and drinks and the 'Annual Regulars' turned up in fascinators and were dressed very nicely, one lady, dressed beautifully but she had to finish it off with yellow rubber thongs. It was obvious that a lot of people knew each other and that made it interesting, but not for those who didn't know each other. There were six of us who's caravans are close together we were all new so therefore we bonded together. It turned out to be a fun time for each one of us. Bryson and Gwyn were on the same cruise boat and Tour bus as us when we went Magnetic Island. They are from Albury & Stan & Marjory were from Horsham.
This morning we went to Prosapine, Brian wanted to get the car washed!!! the only ones they have come to you, like mobile mechanics! Oh well, I went to the second wonderful IGA that we have met on this trip, I had been told to go there and not Woolworths. The pork roast I bought was perfection tonight. Can you smell it?
The 25k trip is lined with sugar cane so my 'Facebook' photo has now been updated to include sugar cane.
The weather is cooler than Cairns, still in summer clothes but pleased of the doona at night.
Tomorrow's forecast is low of 4 high of 21. By Momday we are back up to 25. Still love this spot.
